The first signs of organization of cocoa producers date back to 1985. It arises from the successful alliance between small and medium cocoa producers; with the support of the Cocoa Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and the German Cooperation Agency GTZ. Thus began a program to improve the quality of Dominican cocoa, the objective of which would be achieved by educating producers and improving the storage and processing infrastructure in order to guarantee their positioning in the most demanding international markets.
We are the leading business holding in the production, processing and marketing of cocoa in the Dominican Republic. We accumulate more than 30 years of experience, which allows us to guarantee quality products for the most demanding markets around the world. To better achieve our objectives, we are made up of three specialized entities: CONACADO AGROINDUSTRIAL, COOPNACADO and CONACADO ONG.
We recognize as our main asset, the more than 580 men and women who every day give their knowledge and skills to contribute to the achievement of the group's objectives. We offer fair working conditions, in compliance with current labor laws, and we offer a broad program of monetary and non-monetary incentives to workers.
