Our slogan “Producing excellent cocoa for the most demanding markets” expresses CONACADO’s main goal.
Quality and investigation Project. Through the Business Linkage Challenge Fund (BLCF) project whose goal is sustainable improvement of the quality of our cocoa, we accomplish various investigation activities on the fermentation and drying processes. +info
Quality Assurance System. In order to maintain our leadership position in the organic cocoa market CONACADO implements a Quality Assurance System that intervenes at all levels from sowing the cocoa to loading it for shipping, and guaranties the product’s high level of physical quality. +info
Internal Control System. An Internal Control System complements our Quality Assurance System and meets the organic certification norms that require an annual inspection of every property and producer.
Developing Infrastructure. Our producer’s Blocks still do not possess sufficient infrastructure to adequately process all the cocoa. Due a lack of transport, fermentation crates or drying surfaces, a certain volume of the harvest is damaged at every stage and we end up selling it as discounted low quality cocoa.
Conacado does not yet possess the necessary financial resources to allow the groups to acquire their own means of shipping and develop new post harvest centers with their respective fermentation and drying crates.
Nevertheless, great efforts from some groups have permitted them to implement certain renovations and infrastructure development programs.
